Chartering And Other Services
Personalized Group Classes
In some cases, our regular classes won't meet your needs. This can be because

You have a family or small group already
-
You have students in your group that are too young for our regular classes
-
Your schedule does not match ours
-
You don't want a full class, but want to work on some particular issue

In situations such as these, rather than sign up for our scheduled class, we can work on providing an individual course. We can tailor the instructor, boat and cruise to your specifications.

If your interest is in a personalized American Sailing Association certification course, we will require that your class time be the equivalent of one of our regular classes.
​
The base rate for a personalized course is $1,200 per day, which includes the Instructor. Additional charges may be required, depending on the services requested.
Charter Cruises
While we do not provide for Bareboat Chartering on our boats, we do have the option of providing a Captained Charter. In a Captained Charter, you choose the locations you want to visit and the start and end points of your cruise. You would have a licensed, experienced Captain aboard to provide guidance and training, as you request.

Note: Our Island Packet 32s have a V-berth sleeping area and berths in the main cabin. This can provide up to four sleeping areas. For a Captained Charter, the Captain will sleep in the Quarter Berth, in the back of the boat. For more information about our boats, see the Our Fleet page.

The base rate for a Captained Charter is $1,150 a day, which includes the Captain. Meals, marina fees and other incidentals are not included. Arrangements can be made to meet the boat in a marina different from our home marina and/or depart the boat in a different marina for an additional charge.

Online Tutoring
We can provide hourly tutoring with one of our Instructors in any subject we teach. This tutoring can be done by email, by telephone or by Zoom.

The base rate for tutoring is $100 per hour, billed in quarter hour increments. If this is done by email, you would submit questions and the charge would be based on the amount of time the Instructor spent researching your questions and formulating answers. If done by telephone or Zoom, the charge would be based on the amount of time spent online with you, plus additional time to research questions, if needed. The most effective system we have found is a hybrid one, where you submit questions, the instructor researches them, if necessary, then arranges a time to talk to you, either by telephone or Zoom.
